Category 5e UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair) cabling systems are the most common used in the United States. It is designed for characteristics of up to 350 MHz and is used for Full-Duplex Fast Ethernet operations (100Mps) and Gigabit Ethernet (1 Gbps).
